What Drs. Ed & Kristy expect from their patients

To make the health care system work for you, we have to work together. For that to happen, you have the right to expect certain things from us, and we also expect certain things from you.

  1. We expect you to keep us informed of any new developments in your health. For example, if you see a specialist who orders any tests, we expect you to make sure the results are sent to us. Also, if you travel out of town and need emergency care, please have the hospital send a copy of any workup to our office.
  2. We expect you to arrive to your scheduled appointment at least 10 minutes prior to its' scheduled time. We respect your busy schedules and strive to have you seen and treated in a timely manner. However, emergencies do happen and we ask you to be patient with us as we will not shorten your visit to make up time.
  3. We expect you to utilize our computer based web portal to track your labs and diagnostic testing. If you are able to login and you do not see your results, then that means our doctors are requiring that you schedule an appointment with them to discuss the results. Please note that your results will appear by the date in which they were ordered by our office and not by the date when you had them done. Sometimes these reports are sent to the wrong doctor or fail to reach us for other reasons. Since it's critical that we discuss test results and take any further action that might be necessary, your follow-up call to us will help ensure that we get the information we need.
  4. We expect you to tell us if you decide not to do something we've agreed you'll do. For instance, we decide you need an X-Ray or to start a new medication and you later decide not to, we expect you to let us know right away. It's ultimately your decision, but we need to know if you decide to abandon a treatment regime we've agreed to.
  5. Finally, we expect you to tell us right away if you have problems with our office or any other aspect of your health care experience. We cannot fix problems we know nothing about.
